On construction cost changes in February 2010
Compared to January construction costs in February 2010 grew on average by 0.1%, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau. Labour remuneration of workers increased by 0.4%, maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment - by 0.1%, and prices of building materials decreased by 0.1%.
Compared to February 2009, construction costs in February 2010 on average diminished by 7.1%. The most notable price decrease was observed for building materials – 7.6%, maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment reduced by 7.0%, and labour remuneration of workers - by 4.7%. Reduction of costs in construction of transport facilities; reconstruction and construction of industrial, agricultural and trade buildings, as well as in the renovation and construction of education, healthcare and sports buildings had the greatest lowering impact on overall level of construction costs.
